All persons who worked for LA Laser Center, PC, Daniel Taheri, M.D. Inc., or LA Business Management Services LLC as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in California at any time from October 24, 2019, to April 29, 2026.
This is a court-authorized notice. This is not a solicitation from a lawyer. A court has authorized this notice because you may be a member of the California Class in this settlement.
Plaintiffs Lakey and Cummings filed a class action lawsuit against LA Laser Center, PC alleging violations of California labor law. The lawsuit alleges that LA Laser Center, PC failed to properly pay wages, provide required meal and rest periods, provide accurate itemized wage statements, timely pay all wages upon termination, and reimburse business expenses, among other claims under California law.
LA Laser Center, PC denies all of the allegations in the lawsuit and denies any wrongdoing. The Court has not decided who is right. Instead, the parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit to avoid the costs and risks of further litigation.

If you received this notice, the Settlement Administrator believes you may be a member of the California Class based on employment records provided by LA Laser Center, PC. If you have questions about whether you are included, please contact the Settlement Administrator.
The parties have agreed to a settlement that will provide monetary relief to California Class members. The specific settlement amount and individual payment calculations are set forth in the Settlement Agreement, which is available on the Important Documents page.
Each California Class member's individual settlement payment will be calculated based on the number of workweeks they worked for LA Laser Center, PC in California during the class period, relative to the total workweeks worked by all California Class members.
In exchange for the settlement payment, California Class members who do not opt out will release their California state law and FLSA claims against LA Laser Center, PC.
If you do nothing, you will automatically receive a settlement payment and release your California state law and FLSA claims against LA Laser Center, PC. No claim form is required.
If you do not want to be bound by the settlement, you may exclude yourself (opt out) by the opt-out deadline. If you opt out, you will not receive a settlement payment, but you will retain the right to sue LA Laser Center, PC separately for your California state law and FLSA claims.
If you believe the settlement is unfair, you may object to it by the objection deadline. You may object and still receive a payment if the settlement is approved. You cannot both opt out and object.

To exclude yourself from the California Class settlement, you must submit a written request for exclusion (opt-out request) to the Settlement Administrator postmarked no later than the opt-out deadline. Your opt-out request must include:

If you wish to object to the settlement, you must file a written objection with the Court and serve copies on Class Counsel and Defense Counsel no later than the objection deadline. Your objection must include:
The Court has appointed Class Counsel to represent the California Class in this matter. Class Counsel's fees and costs will be paid from the settlement fund and will be subject to Court approval. You do not need to pay Class Counsel separately.
You have the right to hire your own attorney at your own expense to advise you about your rights in connection with this settlement.
The Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing to decide whether to approve the settlement as fair, reasonable, and adequate. The hearing date is listed on the Important Dates page. You may, but are not required to, attend this hearing.
If the Court approves the settlement, payments will be distributed to California Class members after any appeals are resolved.
